On March 27, 2025, members of the “GreenAL Network” convened to discuss the implementation of Sectoral Policies on Energy and Climate in Albania, as well as the steps the country is taking within the framework of the European Green Deal and the Western Balkans Green Agenda to fulfill its carbon footprint reduction targets.
Civil society organizations, as key actors in the country’s public life, consolidated their ideas into a joint statement of recommendations. This statement is addressed to policymakers, emphasizing the importance of considering these recommendations during the ongoing electoral campaign, which is seen as a timely opportunity to enhance the implementation of these sectoral policies. The aim is to support Albania’s progress toward European Union membership and the target of carbon footprint reduction objectives.
