Fourth round table in Fier

On May 16,  Co-PLAN held a round table in Fier District within #GreenAL!

Citizens, representatives of the district, civil society organizations, the municipalities of Fier, Lushnje, Patos, Roskovec, Mallakastër, as well as representatives of KTA and AdZM took part.

Some of the most urgent environmental issues in this district identified by the participants are:

  • Urban waste management
  • Monitoring and taking urgent measures against pollution, where:
  • Pollution from hydrocarbons in the Patos-Marinez area,
  • Land pollution from polluted urban waters
  • Pollution of water sources
  • Air pollution from biomass burning.

All emphasized the need for close cooperation between the community and the authorities to solve environmental challenges, and were willing to initiate this cooperation
