Grants

Green-AL will provide further support to CSOs through a grant scheme. In this regard, the initiative intends to hold a first call to recruit CSOs that operate at the central level, while the second call will focus on robust and cause-related CSOs. From here on, granted CSOs from the initial call will be able to contribute at both levels, working together with the Green-AL consortium to improve their managerial/administrative and content-related abilities. More precisely, Green-AL II will focus on the following grant types: THEMATIC, REGIONAL, INITIATIVE and ON THE SPOT.

Thematic Grants

These grants provide financial assistance to CSOs in Albania that are focused and equipped with expertise in one of the three major themes (Climate, Nature, Pollution). CSOs seeking for this sort of funding must be active in policy influencing, networking, and mentoring. For these sorts of grants, the final target is expected to be the factorization of the three topics inside the project framework.

Regional Grants

These grants take a more operational approach, aiming to strategically strengthen collaboration and interaction between local government units, specialized environmental organizations, and other relevant stakeholders with CSOs. These grants are intended to fund actual initiatives connected to the Green Agenda while also ensuring interactions with all other GreenAL-supported programs and entities.

Initiative Grants

These grants provide financial support to CSOs for the implementation of specified environmental initiatives, primarily in remote/rural regions of Albania. Each initiative award is intended to be directed and managed by a CSO and to assist local/community-based activities in Albania.

On the Spot Grants

These grants provide financial support to CSOs in Albania which are tackling an environmental emergency or a development with an environmental impact.

They are intended to facilitate/encourage a response to a development with an environmental impact which can be considered urgent and requires action to bring it to the attention of citizens and decision-makers with the aim of raising awareness for taking measures and addressing the issue.
